John Beirne GE apparently pulled financing and maintenance deals to shut P & W out of of the current 777 market. CMF took over the 737 from Pratt when Pratt thought it would excel with the 757 so didn't compete with CMF when the new generation of 737's came out. But even though the P&W 2000 is an amazing engine on the 757 with lots of power, Rolls got most of the 757 business. I've always liked Pratt so I'm rooting that the Airbus 320 neo family coming soon will have more Pratt geared turbofan engines than CMF leap. CMF is owned by GE and a French company. But the CMF engines are indeed very good and most reliable. But so are the Pratts. Delta has a lot of 757's with Pratt power and getting excellent service out of them.

You have to catch it on some die-hard Pratt & Whitney customer like Korean Air ICN-MNL (return trip to South Korea red eye for both Manila and Cebu to Seoul Korean Air) or ICN-CEB if the flight isn't scheduled to operate on a B777-3B5/er
I first thought that this characteristic howl sound onky occured on the PW engines of the CSeries and Embraer E2s but discovered with your video that it's actually across various PW engines. Amazing! Thanks for the upload.
Saw my first 772 today (JinAir at YBCG) and the sound got me. I love spool sounds but the PW4000 initial whine got me so good! New favourite engine sound. Buzzsaw wise... The RB211 or CFM56-5 still has it 😉
Is the year 2023 and these aircraft will soon be retired. If you still want to experience full PW power then the airlines that (still) fly them are: ANA Japan Airlines Korean Air Asiana United

Excellent video! Love the two characteristic spool up sounds - one with a low frequency spectrum and the other with a higher frequency spectrum.

777は「こぉぉぉん〜」て感じだけどジャンボは「キイィィィン!」川西あたりだと今は心地いい程度の音だけど伊丹だと確かに結構うるさいですね。
